lol i was completely oblivious until after the expo. when i came down from the lectures, i was wondering where everyone went lol.

Same here, i had no idea about the stabbing until i got home! The lectures i attended today were alright, although the methods (neap) lecture was pretty useless. My shoulders are so sore from carrying all those leaflets and resources!

All Neap lectures provides notes (a booklet). You can also get a copy of their seminar notes when you visit their stall, contained in the free cd that they were giving out today.

I agree, they got slashed not stabbed, which still doesn't make it right but all the hype is not needed.

I arrived at the expo with one of my friends just before 12 o’clock, and there were police cars and ambulances, and I'm like, 'oh, they must have a stand here or doing career lectures.’ I also saw some frantic teachers trying to find all their students, so everything makes a lot more sense now. That's scary ....

But I did find it helpful to talk to the universities about my options, and some of lectures were good.

By any chance did anyone talk to the male science/commerce student at the Monash University stand in their ‘science’ section? He was almost jumping out of his skin with enthusiasm…

I went today. It was average. The seminars I saw were pretty poor. The NEAP Physics one involved them plugging the NEAP lectures for most of the time and helped little. The English context one I saw was basically a guy repeating the assessment criteria. The guys running the BBQ had no bread  :-\ Just sausages, lol. On the bright side, there were some handouts and booklets I came away with.

lol i'm thinking about going tomorrow just to get handouts on courses, I also want to buy a few study books. There is an English seminar tomorrow, an assessor is doing it, David White?, I think.. so hopefully that should be good. Was it really busy today? Yesterday looked very busy, mainly just schools.

I went to the English Context too! I thought it was good - probably because I haven't read the assesment criteria :D
But it made me come away feeling better about the Context. Especially as I bought a NEAP Context (Whose Reality) book.

I thought the Expo was pretty good. I came away with lots of lollypops and lots of course guide to Universities (and there was an ANU stall! Yay!). I just thought the location of the Expo was really stupid. They should have had it somewhere in the city.

So, overall, good day for me :)
