2008 VCAA EXAM ? WTF?

hey guyss
im really confused with Q2 vcaa exam 2008

i mean
ive done checkpoints + 20 other prac exams ( containing all the questions in regards to calculating energy and cf)
and im very confused with how to do this question.

i know Cf = Energy put in / change in temp
however .. in their worked solutions
i dont get where they got 0.04 X 1364?
0.04 is the mol . simple stuff .. but wtf is 1364 from? . did they use data book or something?

gotta make sure i get one lol

haha you don't want to be rushing through it all, that's not always a good thing.
you should be trying to perfect the course over the next couple of weeks and then starting prac exams when you know you can do everything, and then going through the exams entirely under exam conditions, writing notes for what you didn't know and so on, starting the next exam a few days later when you are ready to not make those mistakes again.
(this is what i'm going to be doing, since we didn't really have time to do this for mid-year!)

I think his just preparing for a SAC, which is very good to master these questions early. These calculation questions are all about practice anyway.

That technique is perfect! I do that aswell for exams also..

yeh im actauly preparing for a sac tbh
i always do .. neap + checkpoints + book questions + 10-20 prac exam relevant questions before each sac

It's from the data book, it's the enthalpy change of ethanol and you multiply by it because it's specific to the substance being used.
