Yep cos the angle's on the negative x axis in the 2nd and 3rd quadrants whilst in the 1st and 4th the angles are already on the positive side of the x axis so you just have to find tan(theta)?

Umm... you're getting caught up in the nitty gritty (i dont know what supplementary means), just visualize it in your head or something, and the angle should make sense :) you can't have 40 degrees for an obtuse angle or something
i was just gonna say that haha



but its good to think hard even about simple questions, thats the path to a true mathematician.
