Considering Alternative Veiwpoints

The next outcome we are doing is "Considering Alternative veiwpoints" and I am not entirely sure what is recquired for this outcome and what our piece needs to target. Is it simply a "reveiw of a reveiw" and if so what do we need to pick up on. If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.  :D

Is this the one where you study the film and the book?
Because we're getting to do that one now (I'm doing Sense and Sensibility).

If not, well... I've never heard of this SAC.

No, it is outcome 3. But we are doing it second for some reason. We completed the outcome you are doing now just before the holidays, we did it on the Importance of being Earnest.

Hmmm.... I don't know then. I know my next SAC after this one is where you write a story in the style of the author.

From what my teacher has said, it is pretty much a 'review of a review' like you've said. Moreover though, it seems to be an analysis of a literary review focusing on the author's interpretation of the book. I believe that we also have to come up with our own interpretation of the book and contrast that with the interpretation by the author of the view. I'm pretty sure this is where all the different types of readings such as those of marxists and femininists are to be used as well.

I could send you a copy of the one I did last year. I'm not sure if we can send files over the site, so maybe you could PM me with your email (if you want it, that is)? It's on The Great Gatsby, but it could probably help you in some way.

Um, if that is directed at me, thanks for the offer (it's really nice of you) but I'm ok. My Lit teacher is awesome so I'm sure  I will (I better) get heaps of help.
And my school doesn't do the Great Gatsby :(

Hope all the Lit people on VN do awesome this year :)

I did an SAC for this on A Room of One's Own and a journal article. Most people in my class thought it was the hardest SAC of all and it probably was but I liked it :)

It involves having an interpretation of your text and understanding a different interpretation that's in an article of some sort. You then critically look at the article and explain what is correct or incorrect according to your interpretation, using evidence from the original text. It requires quite a lot of thought in regard to what you think the text is about and where the article fits according to that view.

I've learnt that my SAC coming up is called Adaptations and Transformations.

Hope you (iamdan08) do well on your upcoming SAC (I believe in you :)  ).

Well done! *claps*
I did my views and values SAC in the third week of term 1 *gasp* - so early on, I know (A+ wooh! also).
I've got my next SAC in week 3 so I plan on watching the movie as many times as possible. It's a good thing it's a chick flick (go Austen and yummy High Grant).
