Thats okay.

You may also need to state what "a" and "b" stand for.

That is,

m = gradient (how steep the line is)

b = the Y Intercept

Given that it is an interpretation question, they probably expect you to demonstrate that you understand what all elements of the equation mean.

Well i think our school is pretty behind. We start our core SAC in 2 weeks! So consider yourself lucky :)

Wow.. will your SAC have chapter 4 in it? Mine doesn't, but we still covered chapter 4 (very quickly though).. maybe thats why your behind me.

No we havent done Chapter 4.
Ours is on the Computer, but im not too keen on how to go about it. Does anyone know what it covers specifically from Chapters 1, 2 and 3?

My SAC is mainly just about Box Plots, Scatterplots and a few other things (mainly chapters 2+3). I then need summarise everything I have done and produce a full analysis. The conlcusion at the end of my SAC is the most important thing because it shows that you are cabable of doing the work and know how to analyse and relate it back to the theme 'Globablisation Issues'.

Our SAC is supposed to be about Globalisation too. I suppose it's quite a trendy topic.
I can't believe your SAC is on so little! We have to cover everything from Chap 1-6 blehhhh

My maths co-ord told me that VCAA provides the theme every year. I don't know why though.

When our school did the Core SAC last year, we certainly didn't have a theme provided by VCAA. Our SAC was something about motorbike licensing over a period of time and the trends that occurred each year. It had obviously been used for quite a number of years because it had "2004" written at the top of it.

VCAA never dictates to schools in regard to the "themes" of SACs. It is at the school's discretion to decide.

Well, I have no idea then.. maybe they provide a number of themes or suggestions that the school may choose? But yeah like I said my co-ord said the theme was provided by VCAA.

I would say that your teacher purchased some kind of support resource from VCAA. It might have provided guidelines/examples for possible SACs.
