i need help on how to determine the latest and earliest time of an activity? :S

question is like 'determine the latest and earliest time of activity "k" '

and i was wondering how do you work it out ? like if tehres some sort of method or formula that i can follow

the earliest time is where network finishes off , last value on the network
77.85.. is the number I better wake up to on the morning of December 13th

Can someone help me with a question regarding networks. How do you do question 1.c in chapter 24A(essentials book).
