hey can someone please help. i know this may be a silly question but what is meant by the principle of the loan repayment? thanks heaps!

Principal NOT principle.

Principal of loan is the original amount lent by lender to the borrower.

ie. Interest of $100 per annum at a rate of 10%pa implies loan principal of $1000.
