Hate. Too much pressure and stress on the one year in my opinion.

probs would be alright if you could break up the subs you do in yr 12 from 5 to 2-3 over a few years. skipping yr 9-10 would be okay too.

At the time of doing VCE, I just wanted to get out of school, get out of such a restricted jail cell.

But now, a little over 6 months down the track, I love year 12 and it was the best year of my life.  I would do (almost) anything to rewind the clock back 12 months.

I'm really liking year 12, i'm finally doing subjects i like and life in general has been pretty good. lol only thing i would change about it is having to do english, the one part of yr 12 i hate, esp cos it counts for so much.

Tbh i have really mixed emotions about leaving high school. On one hand there is so many thing about year 12 and my school i love, i guess i will be missing having everything handed to me on a silver platter once i get into uni and have to fend for myself. Then again uni does have it's pluses e.g. a *shite* load more freedom and learing more advanced and interesting stuff

But really i'm sure this time next year, i'll be in gloamglozer's postion and just wishing i was back in year 12.

Loved it. Seriously my life situation is much better than it was a year ago, and there's so much room for improvement that it's not even funny.

yes there are harder things in life, but they aren't like this, this long, mentally draining 'school'. they are different.

lol the monkey on your back from school is nothing compared to having king kong on your shoulders from a real long term mental problem. With school theres also a defined start and finish. With other things theres no guarantee... I guess for people like me ive been exposed to this pressure 24/7 for a number of years. This last year and a bit ive gotten so much healthier the 12hours a day stressing about school its like a 100% decrease in stress for me this year. :)

Year 12 has been, ironically, one of my least academically focused years thus far at school.  I've felt that I've spent more time in co-curricular activities than studying - indeed, it's only recently that I've really started feeling the pressure.  Can't tell how I feel overall - it's been an enjoyable experience, but also a highly stressful one.  Maybe ask me next year.  :p

Hm i guess only time will tell how we feel about year 12 compared to uni..

same. im the performing arts captain. i spent most of semester one trying to revive the department and get the student body to realise how much performing arts effects their lives everyday (hello ipods, tv and film?), and get them behind us.

i failed. ahah. but i had a lot of fun anyway (:
Imagine if we all SCRATCHED OUR EXAMS... they'd have nothing to mark, they wouldn't be able to rank us.
We'd have defeated the system.

That's revolutionary.

have most definitely observed that in many people..... vce has changed some ppl....they're so competitive now and like.... only solely driven to get a high enter and they become as you say "lame assholes" it really shits me, and they expect to mooch off you and for you to help them and they never return the favour
