Would anyone have a cheat sheet lying around on functions and graphs, including exponential and logarithms? including examples (in exam format style).
That would be great thank you  :)

sorry, i dont have one....

what do you need exactly? (index laws, log laws?)
cheat sheets are very individualised, it should contain what YOU need, there's no generic formulae.

and making the cheat sheet serves as sort of a revision, which is very helpful :)

well ive tried doing it but i keep getting stuck. what i exactly need is basically the first three chapters of the maths quest book which is what the sac is on. but seeing as how they are not in exam format style its bad. my teacher said they will be exam format and the stupid maths quest doest have those sort.
the topics i need are:

Chapter 1: Graphs and polynomials
1.1 The binomial theorem
1.2 Polynomials
1.3 Division of polynomials
1.4 Linear graphs
1.5 Quadratic graphs
1.6 Cubic graphs
1.7 Quartic graphs

Chapter 2: Other graphs and modeling
2.1 The parabola (turning point form)
2.2 The cubic function of the form y = a(x - h)3 + k
2.3 The hyperbola
2.4 The truncus
2.5 The square root function
2.6 The absolute value function
2.7 Modelling

Chapter 3: Exponential and logarithmic equations
3.1 The index laws
3.2 Logarithm laws
3.3 Indicial equations
3.4 Logarithmic equations using any base
3.5 Exponential equations (base e)
3.6 Equations with natural (base e) logarithms
3.7 Inverses
3.8 Exponential and logarithmic modeling

LOL i hate this textbook
any help would be awesome

what do you mean?

with those topics, find the ones that you are comfortable with (they dont need to be included on your cheat sheet), find the ones that you are confused with (and if you need to, post them here), and find the ones that you have absolutely no ideas on how to do.
the thing is, you have to write the cheat sheet yourself while understanding what you are writing. Otherwise the information you take in will be as foreign and unuseable as your textbook. the cheat sheet is only meant to contain things that you understand, but dont know off by heart, such as the quadratic formula.

is this a SAC or a diagnostic test?

well its the first sac of the year but just like a normal test. it has 12 multiple choice and three short answer.

What i meant was in the maths quest textbook the questions are pretty simple and my teacher said that they were going to be in exam format style the questions on the sacs. Now the maths quest questions arent like this.

http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/studies/mathematics/methods/exams.html
past VCAA exams.

browse through them and there will be questions related to this topic. Exam type questions may involve several of those topics in one question, and so i suggest revising all those topics, and make your cheat-sheet with sections about the topics, and a few worked solutions that combine the key skills.
