Pen Suggestion?

Hey Guys

kinda a weird question but...

Was just wondering, does anyone have any specific pens or techniques that their school uses when writting? I'm finding that particularly in Revs, and English, that by the time you get to the end of writting time that your hand has become so cramped that its hard to write/write clearly.

Anyone have any ideas on the best pens to use to that allow you to maximise what you can get out of it? I know that biros arn't the best idea, and also heard of asking for a script book straight away to write on to thicken the pages......

Good question :)
I tend to bring 3+ different pens into a SAC/exam, swapping between pens reduces cramping. Some techniques I use to reduce cramping in my hand (from gaming/typing/writing) is to simply grab my fingers, make my palm face the ceiling and pull my fingers down to make a L shape and just stretch my fingers/massage them.

Differs for just about everyone, I use blue biros exclusively (the cheap officeworks ones that cost $5 for a pack of 20)

I've always used those white papermate kilometrico ones. But yeah they hurt after writing a 3 hour english exam...

Haven't you guys experimented with writing with different grips/styles of pens? I tend to use my 4pen (Blue bottom half/white top half) which has a fat grip then I switch to a smaller gripped pen like those thin white papermate kilometrico ones.. It really works for me; I'm sure it would work for other people too.

I use this pen with a rubber grip stolen from cheapo BIC pacers put on the front. Remains as my favourite pen since year 12. It's definitely the most comfortable so far for me since it's not overly fat like the 4 pens (I hate writing with them), but not too thin like the kilometrico biros which also ends up hurting since your hand gets scrunched up around it. In terms of the hand cramping, I hold a pen terribly (failed my pen license when I was younger - just about the only test I've ever failed =/) so I get that pretty quickly. I find that a combination of the speed of writing, length of time you're writing for and the anxiety causing you to grip your pen harder than usual in an exam leads to this and there's not much you can do. Just tank it out was what I did =/ Stretching your hands makes it feel better but it comes back almost immediately after you start writing so it's just a waste of time IMO. You won't notice it as much under time pressure anyway. You'll be too busy writing.

EDIT: The grips were from these: BiC Velocity pacers.

get a pen that writes smoothly ... and that probably has to do with the ballpoint thickness

i have a parker pen for a few years now... and the weight is heavy on the bottom of the pen and i think that actually makes it easier to write... because those plastic light weight ones actually means you have to use more force i think... oh god im horrible at the mechanistic explanations of how a pen works lol

Probably needa hit officeworks soon and get a bunch that are recommended on here, then test them out before exam comes

What pens do you not have to press down hard on and doesn't smudge? i tried fineliners but they smudge bad and leak through
