A good way to approach your language analysis is this:
Remember the written explanations that we did for Context Writing; the explanations that we will not be using in the exam?
Well, you can use this when you plan for your analysis.
Use this acronym - FLAP+C+C - Form/Language/Audience/Purpose/Context/Contention when you plan your analysis.
In our Context pieces, as the author, we make linguistic choices that intertwine with the point of view and contention.
The aim of your language analysis is to decipher the writer's point of view, their purpose, their respective audience, and also where the money is - HOW they encourage the audience to see what they see.
Remember, use FLAP+C+C! It's not a useless concept after all.
