Could someone please critique my text response

I think the content of this essay is excellent, however there are a few structural issues and grammatical errors and minor points which could be improved. For example, 'a third person orientation from Winston’s perspective' - to this point you haven't mentioned Winston yet, so you should introduce him very briefly, and at the very very least, call him Winston Smith the first time you name him.

Also, this essay is absolutely begging for the quote 'He who controls the present controls the past, he who controls the past controls the future'. Of course it is not necessary to give a particular quote in response to a topic to gain full marks, but it's just so perfect for prompt, I can't see why you'd leave it out (unless you just forgot it.)

Overall, I'd say about an 8/10, if not for the grammatical problems it could be a 9.
