I'm taking in the Essential text. Scribbled notes in the back of it.
I wonder if you could tape an exercise book of notes to the back of your text and take that in.

Don't spend too much time making a bound reference, the time is better spent doing practice exams.
2011: ATAR 99.50
2012: Bachelor of Biomedicine, UoM
2015: Doctor of Dental Surgery, UoM

If you know your stuff, there will be no need. If you are too conscious of forgetting it... you will forget it. Its like trying to play piano or any musical instrument and thinking about what your fingers are doing.... you'll just fail.

But does being conscious of not being conscious of what you're doing cause you to become too conscious?

This is the problem about thinking of thinking. If you try and track what your brain is doing you will inhibit it from carrying out the action.

A friend of mine who did very well in MM told me this. If you were shipwrecked on an island for 5 days, and were asked to spell your name, you would be able to. The same goes for antidifferentiating. If you were in the same position you would still be able to integrate sin(x), because it is (hopefully) mapped into your subconscious.

I understand, and I'll leave it under my chair so I'm not tempted to use it
It's more that if I'm complacent and don't have one, then I may forget a small thing and regret it :)
