Who has actually paid to see their actual marked VCAA exam?

Anyone?

:D

I am probably going to get a statement of marks.. but has anyone actually paid the money to see their
VCAA marked exam paper?

For the English exams for instance, they do write on the exams as they mark it right?

hey mate

nah they dont actually (in regards to english)
this is so that examiners who are going to mark it next (as it gets cross-marked) dont judge it before they mark it. Imagine being an examiner who is given a paper with 50 red marks on it, it will influence the way in which they will mark too greatly.

However im not too sure whether they actually write on other subjects exam papers, perhaps they just write a statement down with why the student lost marks.

hope i helped a bit.

I only paid to see the exam paper for my chem midyear, to find out if there was anything I needed to address (ie incomplete working). End of year, I didn't really care about seeing it (I got my SoM out of interest though)

Has anyone got their exam remarked, as they thought they were poorly done by and won?

I'd be interested to see the success rate haha

Yeah i did. It's just a photocopy of your exam, you dont see any comments or markings that the VCAA assessors wrote it just has what you did and then a copy of the examiner's report to compare your answers and see why you were wrong (need statement of marks to compare). It was quite useful, and made me furious discovering i lost 3 marks from missing a single word that somehow became required at the start of a question (saying method of loci was a mental association, rather then saying visual.. despite mental still being correct).

Only one person in the last year has ever had their exam remarked, and that was for English. It's pretty much impossible to ask for a remarking once you see your paper and realise that you got it wrong for some reason.
