:O

our school is a bitch! they practically strip us naked before going in an exam just to see whether we're abiding by "VCAA rules"

and we recently got this bitchy asian examiner... who I think hasn't heard of the term 'sitting', she does fucking 100 laps in the exam hall in like 5 mins :|

Someone at my school took in a calculator for Methods exam 1 and it wasn't taken off him :|
(Thing was, the guy didn't even realise he wasn't allowed a calculator...)

lol that's pretty funny, some examiners have no clue do they?

You know what's funny, the fact that we call them 'examiners'. They look more like 'supervisors' to me Are they actually examiners?. In our chem exam they didn't even check whether we are using scientific calculator or not, they just let it be. i still used scientific though.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I hate exam supervisors.  This is one of two scenarios of what will happen at my methods exam.

1.  I don't get my Derrick Ha book cut do to A4 specifications, and have it taken off of me.

2.  I get my Derrick Ha book cut down to A4 specifications, and the examiners let everyone take in enormous copies of the Encyclopedia Britannica of mathematics anyway...

Our school talks about how scary and strict the supervisors are with their rules and all...

when we're in the exams... they don't even seem to care all that much.

However...
Hypothetically, if someone was caught cheating in an exam, are all results affected, or is it just the results for that subject?

Thank you. =]

Extract from the VCAA Bulletin:
Quote
The VCAA’s examination review committees considered nine serious breaches of examination rules in the 2009 October and November VCE examinations.

Eight students received significant penalties ranging from a reduction of 1 to 5 grades:

Three students were caught attempting • to use mobile
phones in exams. These were used to view notes or access
the internet. Penalties up to 5 grades were applied in these
cases.
• Four students were caught with paper notes or notes written
in a dictionary. These students’ results were reduced by 2
to 5 grades by VCAA Review Committees.
• One student was detected overlooking the work of another
student.

The student’s marks for this section of the examination were cancelled.

Any ideas what they mean by "1-5 grades"?
