DOES ANY 1 JUST USE 1 ESSAY FOR CONFLICT ??

lol guys

my conflict is " encountering conflict"
And i wrote this practice essay at school which was apparently good... so I repeated the essay in my sac.

And now .. ive done about 10-15 prac context essays so far .. and each one if done .. ive just adjusted the SAME story to the prompt.

my question is
do you think , memorizing 1 story . and reproducing it on every prompt is a good idea?

does any 1 have just one idea/story that they use for every essay they do?.

its risky .. but im just hoping for a good prompt in the exam to which i can adjust my story :) and hope for the best.

any 1 else do this?

The thing with context is its broad, and so at times [ the prompt]  can fit into nearly into any writing piece you do!

a few people in my class have managed to do that too, although its not adivse like pre-pared sentences and stuff! but what the heck, If its getting you mark, GO FOR YOUR LIFE :D

Do whatever maximises your score.
Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

No idea.

But personally, I like making fresh responses according to the prompt and making up/exploring ideas on the fly. I don't like regurgitation =(.

its good

a lecturer told everyone to do what you did as any story can be moulded around any prompt

its a prompt, not a topic, so yes its good :)

and the fact that youve done it plenty of times before siggests you will be fine

are you doing the crucible? im also doing conflict

that is the worst thing you can possibly do for text response man. Examiners pick ROTE learned essays with the snap of a finger lol, it'll stuff you up...

however i guess its cool if the book or film doesnt have that many themes, which i doubt it would have,
but im gunna do Maestro for text response, and i do repeat myself a lot because there arent that many themes, only 3 or 4.

I guess you can think of it this way: you are writing essays in response to the same context, and there are just so many ways they can ask you the same question.

matt123, I'd suggest memorising one more essay - just in case.

What you gotta do is not use the same essay as much, but know exactly how to manipulate your content, it's pretty easy after a while to adapt one set of material to any context.

Have about 7-8 easy to manipulate paragraphs in your head rather than a whole essay.
