Kotza...
Read through some of the TSFX sample essays that I posted a thread about..
For the 2 context SACs this year, I did one as an opinion piece and one as a speech. Both were not high A+ standard... I wasn't happy with them at all. Not even the slightest.
So for the past week or two, I've practised doing expository essays. I'm not sure if they fit more in the expository or the persuasive side of essay writing... but the point is, these are the ONLY essay-form context pieces I have done all year... and I can already sense that I'll get better marks for these kind of pieces.
So I highly suggest you take up an essay format of context writing if you're struggling to flesh out your ideas in creative writing.. essays have a given structure, and you can be far more explicit and clear with your point of view. Now is the time to start practising essays if you haven't already started... but I guess we have been taught essay writing from year 7.. so yeah, it shouldn't be hard to pick up on it.
And besides, the textual reference can appear far more explicit (if that is what you are aiming for).
