I think that I will get a mid A.
I predict that they will probably have questions about biology.
read the questions carefully, and highlight the key words (this has been brainwashed into me by all my teachers)

The top 10 things I always used to get mixed-up/forgot/confused on:
1. hominoid/hominid/hominin
2. triplet/codon/anti-codon
3. There are no such things as dominant or recessive alleles, only dominant/recessive traits
4. DNA helicase is not in transcription, only in DNA replication
5. DNA is read 3' to 5', constructed 5' to 3'
6. Forgetting prosimians as the first primates
7. New World monkeys are older than Old World monkeys
8. Cultural differences between homo sapiens and homo neinderthals (sapiens used symbols... in case u didnt know)
9. Overall, mtDNA mutates slower than chromosomal DNA, but the HYPERVARIABLE D-LOOP mutates very fast
10. Law of independent assortment and Law of segregation are two separate things.

How is helicase not involved in transcription? My teacher who has a PhD in some field of biology/chemistry said that it is involved in transcription. Could someone clear this up? Thanks,

I thought that helicase unwinds  dsDNA during transcription.

see below, RNA pol unwinds DNA itself

is it?

in a textbook it says "Once bound to the promoter site, RNA polymerase is able to unwind the DNA without the aid of helicases"

and rna pol by itself has the ability to cause distortions to the dsdna and cause one turn of the promoter

haha yeah my brains fried... textbooks always good
maybe helicases can help maybe transcription factors can help too in unwinding but possibly not essential ah i dunno
i would stick to Rohitpi's point 4.
