Is it a given that if you're good at exam 2's, you should be able to do exam 1's well? I'm not talking about reducing errors but rather being able to understand the concepts.

yes. Exams two is more about the application of the knowlege. Whether or not you know that knowledge is tested in exam 1. Of course this dosne;t qute work out in practice cos some people are better at application cos they just 'see' really random thigns that allows them to solve insane problems *cough* kyzoo *cough* nad having a calucultor and bound notes also changes thigns up a bit. People who have crazy inventive problem solving skills (again kyzoo) might find find exam two easier because they have the notes can can just apply the knowledge, even if they don't 100% know the course (so not kyzoo)

Haha thanks for that. I haven't touched an exam 1 in a while since I have primarily focussed on exam 2's these past few weeks.

yeah, i think that you still need to practice exam one tho, it's a whole different mindset. I'm currentely torn between doing exam ones that will just be practicing not making carleess mistakes and doing exam twos which will help extend me more.......

You need to do exam 1s imo, purely ot ensure you don't make silly mistakes. But i love doing them because I am soo lazy, all I have to do is whip out one and do it without having to get the calc. YES I AM THAT LAZY. exam twos are so...troublesome.

totally agree. In calculator eams, they know you have the alculator and seriosuly ramp up the calculation needed as a result.....i alwayz for get to use my calc getting stuck on one  question for ages then realising i shoudl be using my calculator......i reali need to use it more >.>
