Hahah ive been doing this all day, going through each prompt and writing a plan.
I would take a simplistic approach, and split the prompt up.
Para 1 - belonging as an essential human requirement, belonging to a group requires adhering to their collective behaviourisms and mentality, substantial vs. superficial connections within a group
Para 2 - uniqueness is an important trait, it imparts upon us our respective persona. our world and civilisation resembles the form of community that is denotative of entrenched social rules, serving as codified conduct cum expectations of conformity for all participating generations - both descendant as well as ancestral.
Para 3 - the importance of finding equilibrium between private identity and public belonging, and consequences in not being able to do so. those who erect a psychological shield of cynicism to protect their intrinsic sanctuaries from exogenous dangers also eliminate any prospective opportunities of social intercourse. conversely, those who unconditionally accept change and risk their diversity and independance gain annexation at the cost of pertinent individuality.

A nice quote for this prompt to conclude your essay could be: "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest achievement." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Sometimes it is hard to balance belonging to a group with keeping one's individual identity
1. open with quote "The value of identity...is that so often with it comes purpose”, by Richard R. Grant, explain how it emphasises the relationship between identity and the reason for existing. It is within the instinctual nature of humanity that one seeks out to establish their sense of self...
discuss the difficulties in belonging to a group. explain how the identity is pressured to change and how the values of the group may conflict with your own. counter by expressing how groups provide the instinctual need for security and comfort, link to how the individual's psyche is made less susceptable to corruption through belonging to a stable environment.
2. link to catcher in the rye's holden caulfield (if you've done the text). discuss how his mental instablity is the consequence of not belonging and how he is consumed by the his obsession with individuality (red hunting hat).
3. continue by explaining how asserting yourself within a group is necessary for establishing identity, while admitting that sometimes group influences will alter the identity but not necessarily in a negative context. use external references in group peer pressure, how young girls are influenced by propaganda in tv advertisements to alter themselves in order to adhere to society's view of 'normal'. link to the psychological desires of humanity to belong to the majority.

not as good as 99.95's lol, but i hoped i helped :)
