Hi just wondering if people could pick up some flaws in this paragraph so i could fix them if possible :)

As social animals we will always attempt to interact with others. Throughout our lives we will form many relationships, from our family to our associations with society, and ideally these help us to explore and discover who we are. We come into the world, “wide eyed and all unknowing”, and our parents stitch us into pattern similar to themselves. These values and traits stay with us for our entire life, for example a child born into a football supporting family will most likely continue to support the same team until the very last. However, we are not, “hemmed with commitment”, and later in life are still able to explore ourselves, and change our favourite team if we so choose. By playing the developmental role, parents can nurture their children's creative potential, so that they can thread their own life. As we mature we must strike out into the “stream of the world” and discover our own relationships and institutions. Again these form an integral role in developing our sense of self as they force us to question what we stand for. When one enters a new group or society that values and beliefs help by that group may conflict with our own. In these situations we must decide what ideals sit most comfortably with us, and thus by discarding the values of one group we can more strongly understand ourselves. In this way we can see that relationships are the ambience in which we thrive, and are essential to developing our sense of individual identity.
