Did any one miss the background info, or was i the only moron in the state?

theres always a few ppl every year. hopefully they dont make you down too much for it

i think misinterpreting the entire argument would prove pretty costly..

why would it? bg info wasn't essential; most ppl would be able to conclude that he was advocating biodiversity in the speech and its not absolutely necessary (although probably preferred) to mention the guy's name

Ok so I think I MAY have accidently written that he supports a 'reduction in the rate of biodiversity' but forgot the key freakin word LOSS... not sure if I'm being paranoid or not... I made it clear throughout my piece however that I understood that he was arguing for a reduction in biodiversity loss... will I still loose marks? :(

ummm. i think my COSI essay was uber bad cause i wrote word for word from my mind.

no1 checked our dictionaries either. tehee.secret

That's a good thing, if your hand wrote words your mind wasn't thinking of then you'd have a problem :P

And to everyone that is stressing because they once wrote writer/reader/biodiversity loss: CHILL. It's out of 10 marks, if they took a mark off for every little mistake, then you could make 10 tiny mistakes and get a 0 on an otherwise perfect piece.

COSI WAS AMAZINGLY EASY. That second prompt? I could hear the sighs of relief from everyone (who does Cosi) across the state.

Which of course made me stress because easy =/= good.

Context was... not good. It was an easy prompt, but it was pretty unrelated to what I've been studying.

I completed bombed langanal. Way too much repetition and not enough detail/depth.

I did the first prompt for Cosi...it seems like I was the only one :S

And yeah context was ONE WEIRD PROMPT.

There was a very similar prompt to that in the VATE 2010 exam, if anyone has it. The second one, my god I was smiling for a solid 5 minutes, brilliant!

Only like 4 people out of ~50 did the first prompt. (We didn't study 1984 in depth which was a shame because the 2nd 1984 prompt was interesting and I probably could've done better in if I had studied for it.)

A friend quoted Parkway Drive in their context essay (Imaginative Landscape) - 'if home is where the heart is, then why do I feel so fucking heartless'. Needless to say, he is not looking for a 50 :P

I felt it wasnt too bad actually.
Finished about 10 minutes early and about 3.5 pages for each essay with small writing.
Felt the LBW topics were so much better then last years ones that I saw since as soon as I saw AMFAS I went "Im right".
The speech wasn't too bad I thought, I know people who referred to the first image and analysed that but didnt analyse the actual photograph. I feel stupid now for referring to the people as readers of the transcript -__-.

My timing was out the window...
70 mins on Language (4 pages)
80 mins on Hard Times (5 pages)
30 mins (LOL) to write my context essay (3.5) :/

I didn't have a conclusion for ANY of them, if you don't count some random sentence at the end of the paragraph that sounds mildly poetic and holistic :|

the BG info said the contention, or more accurately the purpose was to REVIEW the progress achieved from that promise in 2002

his contention was to stress the importance of biodiversity and the preservation of the world's well being

Professor Chris Lee entiltles in his speech "insert name" that people around the world are not making enough of an effort to reduce biodiversity loss and that action must be taken now.
Well thats what I did anyways.
