for those who commented on the first image in LA, what did you talk about??

I said, that there were silhouettes of various forms of life and their habitat incorporated into the figures of the year '2010' implying that at the present time, biodiversity on earth is only a shadow of what it should be.

lol...
e]

wow that sounds pretty smart

i said that we had to find a balance and harmony between humans and nature or something like that

LOAD OF SHIT TBH!!

wow that was smart!! i hope i dont lose marks for not using technical terms :S

i talked about the presence of the species and the word "2010" shows that they are linked together and that the presence of humans has an impact on all the other species. the child clinging onto and closely looking at the adult shows how dependent children are on adults and that the audiences job is to impart a message to our children so that they make appropriate decisions when they are old enough and so on..

nah i dont think so. examiners prefer it when you dont use technical terms anyway because it tends to clutter up the argument. they just want to know the implications of what you're trying to say. like i know ppl who said 'epidemic of affluenza' was scienfitic jargon, which i dont think it is, but they feel like just because they've listed it down  they dont have to say what it means

thats what my tutor told me anyway and shes like deputy chief examiner or sumthin like that

There seems to be a bit of a discrepancy between people who are commenting about their WORD length, and those who are speaking in terms of PAGES. Don't get stressed if you don't have the same amount of pages as someone else... Firstly, everyone writes differently in size, errors, spacing etc. so you're bound to be drastically different.

Although - how many words on average would be on a full page of writing??

well a normal page is about 300 words? but this one was 2 lines less than a normal page so id say like 275 a page for a round figure.

'affluenza' is creative word formation if we are going to be technical about it...

i wrote 2 pgs of shit language analysis that only analyzed about 5% of the speech

there goes my 40+...

not necessarily - examiners may appreciate a very in-depth analysis...? that's what i advocate to students, anyway lol...
Page-wise I did less - around 7 pages for all three.  In terms of word count though it was around 1300-1400 for both text/context, and something closer to 1250 for Language Analysis.

Also, I think I'm pretty much the only person who wrote on the second Richard prompt.  >.>

You only get ~200 words per page? So most of your paragraphs go for more than a page? Wow. lol

Oh, and - it has to be asked - 60/60?

i really hope you do as well as expected of you EZ, good luck :)

Ahahaha thanks guys.  To be honest I'll be happy as long as I don't epically fail - seriously concerned, since pretty much everyone else went with the "easy" prompt.  Hopefully I didn't just completely misinterpret it or something...

And yeah, my context paragraphs went over a page each (barely).  I do five body paragraphs for Richard though, and six for language analysis...

I get almost 300. But it varies from 150(~5words per line)-390(13 words per line).
