seeking Last minute Definitions for my reference

Hey guys, just after a few definitions to throw onto the last pages of my reference.

Anything that you guys think may be relevant (particularly vector/geometry stuff) and that VCAA would likely ask us.

Things like concurrent, supplementary angles etc. anything at all really.

Thanks!

Umm, theres like 2 pages in the study design with dot point geometry stuff. I really don't think it's going to be on the exam, but doesn't hurt to have it in there.

You might want to have already written out vector proofs, such as medians of a triangle are concurrent since that's a dot point on the study design, although once again, it probably will not come up.

Properties of shapes, and what you need to show to prove it? might come in handy if they come up with some uncommon shape

How'd you do that?

I just integrated. No area of a segment.

I hadn't even heard about this.. =S

Are you serious 99.95? =/
It's all over the place?
It was in like two of the VCAA exams too :S
Namely 2008, the very last question. I think theres was another in either 09 or 07 ><
I've come across circle segments and sectors in like 3-4 practice exams too :S

^.^ VCAA 2008 Exam 2 last question is the area of a segment

Oh is that what it is... i just used Area of a circle TTr^2 and integrated for the other section?

Assessor report did some segment shit lol confused me

Area of a sector (like a pizza slice): where Theta is radians - To double check this, see if it works for finding the area of an entire circle. Let (i.e. 360 degrees for a circle) and sub into the formula, and you get - the area of a circle!

Area of a segment - (like the crust) -

Arc length:

For chord length, just use the cosine rule:

Hope that helps!
