what did you cover in your essay?

i went with:

paul and keller both love music although in the end it leads to there downfall (music primarily costing keller his wife and son; and paul wasting precious years of his life searching for a musical 'perfection' that he never had) although in the end both of them still love music and it brings them joy etc

is that right??

what did you do

i kinda had it differently ... but it felt so simplistic and stupid when i was writing.
3 paragraphs

1. music important to many of the central characters
2. music is the catalyst for many relationships, not just paul keller, but paul/rosie, paul/rough stuff
3. when music is so intrinsically entrenched in ones life, it can ultimately be connected with the bleaker moments in ones' life. <hopefully i worded it better on the exam :P> but its the whole idea that just as music has its rises and falls, ebbs and flows, so does life

ergh though. i didnt like it. i wish there was just a character quesiton on paul!

I was comfortable with it, but a little annoyed at myself - I was sick for the trial exam my school ran, and it had the same question! Ah well. Perhaps it was better to go in with fresh ideas then a stale essay.

i actually thought this question is kinda more "complex" than the other one...so i did the other one...
PS i did esl so it could be a tiny bit different in expressing the question...
