35/40 is still (approx) a high A. not FML worthy :) (well unless you wanted 50 or something)

What's your instrument gossip girl? Have you had your recital yet?
Ah, that sucks about not doing a subject last year! Having done psych gives me a little reassurance.
However, I've just found that the standard deviation was 2, not 3, for question 3 of core, so I actually got 34/40. :P Well done on your 37, that's great :) Good luck.
Hehe, I didn't want a 50 - I'd die of happiness if I got a 40 actually. Just really hoping I don't screw Exam 2. The terrible thing is that all my mistakes resulted from not reading the question properly. Underestimated Matrices and sped through it by 12:10, didn't have time to come back and check. Dropped 3 marks there and 2 in Graphs.
if you read the questions as carefully as possible on exam 2, i reckon you could get 40 if your SAC marks are fairly strong :)
and i find i'm always a lot more susceptible to stupid mistakes on exam 1 than exam 2. so if that's your main issue, you could perform better on exam 2 :)

Thanks for the reassurance. My SAC average is 80%. So I'm not too confident, lol. Maths has always been my worst subject :\
i'm in the same boat as you :-) 37/40 for MC (pleasantly surprised), SACs about 80%.. i was aiming for 35 but if i do well on exam 2 i think 40 is possible which would be amazing - as also maths has always been my worst. however, it has to be in my top 4 coz i didn't do a year 12 last year and i've already decided music solo will be my bottom with a SS of approximately 6.

Have you had your recital yet gossipgirl? Which instrument do you play? If you haven't yet performed I wish you the best of luck :) And yes, maths has always been very difficult for me. Doing psych last year is sort of my lifeline though, you must feel under a lot of pressure with these exams!! Good luck for the rest of yours :)

can't remember what i wrote for 5 questions, so excluding them i got 31, hopefully if i got them all correct then 36.

what is a 32-33-34? Low A?
Yea 33 is about a low A

so for sacs this year i got:

B+, A+, B+ C (whole year level f'd it up), A, A
what do i need for the second exam to get 38/39?

cheers mate.

38/40
Modules 2,3,6

I made the stupid mistake on trig/geo, didn't even see the right angled triangle... and it's so obvious now.
and linear, for some odd reason i thought -1 was less than -4.... fml

Depends on your rank and overall cohort performance, but generally to get a 38/39 you would need about 51/60+ (assuming you get 36/40)
2009-10: Methods (39) - Specialist Maths (36) - Further Maths (50) - Biology (36) - Chemistry (37) - English Language (36) - ATAR: 97.40
2011-2014: B.Pharm @ Monash University

yeah i have - violin. 6 was an exaggeration but i have my fingers crossed for 30.
thank you, you too! yeah it's one of my biggest regrets of VCE not doing a 3/4 a year early, so if any youngins are stalking this - do at least one!!
but oh well! doesn't really matter as i don't need to get in the 90s, around ~80-85 and at the moment i'm on track to get that :)
