I didn't know you could multiply out a bracket that had a power to it...or am I just stupid?

And do we need to know how to antidiff stuff where the denominator is non-linear or raised to a power?

Page 18, at the bottom - his explanation about transformations. He says that you "firstly dilate from the y-axis by a factor of a". But below, he shows "y=ax^2" as the corresponding transformation. In that case, doesn't he mean "dilate from the x-axis"?
