That was so bad. Far out, I couldn't have done any worse! Gwen Harwood poems were terrible and I suck at Antigone to begin with but I actually think I did better on that than Harwood which is clearly saying something :(

I had very low expectations so I'm just ecstatic that I didn't blank and only manage to squeeze out a page of crap ( I had a nightmare that I failed because I blanked...basically scared the shit out of me which resulted in my expectations being lowered substantially)

The key to happiness is to expect nothing, you'll find that almost everything makes you happy.

Hamlet was near impossible, who actually gave a second thought to his madness/antic disposition anyway? I threw my interpretation out the window straight off the bat and talked about the consequences of claudius' corruption of the corporeal world on the spiritual.
And Beowulf was ridiculously easy as per usual.

There could have been a better selection of Gwen Harwood poems - ANYTHING without 'Night and Dreams'!!!!!!
I keep thinking about my Harwood analysis. I'm worried that it wasn't very cohesive :S

Regeneration fails...
On a side note; isn't it slightly weird we get one script book for two completely different essays? Or am I over thinking this?

Two examiner marks both essays. I have no idea how this works, though. Do all assessors have to be knowledgeable on all texts? We didn't even write the name of the texts on the cover =S Had no idea the script book was going to be like this..

And I liked the Hamlet passages lol, you don't need a soliloquy to discuss him properly..
Yeah, it was fairly obvious that the thematic focus of the passages was his madness.

Oh now I just feel silly for discussing the induced uncertainty and deceit prevalent in Elsinore... :(
And I think every our examiner got asked by every kid "what goes on the front page of the script book?"

I felt so sorry for the Hamlet and Emma people, which was the majority of my school. I skimmed their passages in reading time just cause I was curious and thought 'wow... I'm glad I'm not them!' Cant believe the Hamlet kids didn't get a soliloquy, and am thanking my lucky stars I didn't focus on it (I almost did).

Liked the Hedda Gabler passages but dont think I did them justice. Contrary to everyone else I'm quite happy with my poetry analysis, I LOVE Night and Dreams, but I am weird like that. I really wanted Estuary and Iris on, then it would have been perfect, but I like all of her poems so it didn't matter much. Felt a lot better walking out of this exam than I did the English one, but we'll see. I don't want to get my hopes up too much.

Haha every person in our person had to ask the examiners individually how to fill out the front of the book.

Thought the Hamlet passages were decent, quite a few references to my ultimate meaning of him understand he had to find his own purpose in life, rejecting feminity and embracing masculinity.

D.H. Lawrence, well you can't really get bad passages, like The Ladybird passages, wasn't so keen on the Captain's Doll.

Finished just in time.

Overall, pretty happy :)
