The last question on the paper was the most random shit ever!!! I've got 40/40 for every VCAA tech free from 2006, and ironically the one that counts is where my streak ends...
Also if you use the same h value (which was wrong) for parts (b) and (c), do you get full marks for the correct method or do you lose them because the answer's incorrect.

35/40 for A+? err the whole cone of death shiz was worth 5 marks. Im guessing most peeps got that wrong. Then there is the other mistakes people are gonna make for sure so i think we might see cut-off dip below mid-30's this year. (Ok im dreaming..lets hope it comes true) :D

Hopefully 35/40. If that is the case, I'll be able to just scrape in...

I hope so too!! I lost around 5 marks as well. Hope Exam 2 will compensate my exam 1 marks.... should really go and study if I want that to happen. But I can't be bothered right now..

Does that mean 34 would be a high A? It was a low on previous years

Don't forgot Mao's Study Score Estimator Guys

Just search for the latest grade distributions in google, like this or use 2007 since it was a hard exam

well using mr mao's calculator and going off 2007 means and s.d. (a+ cut off was 34.5)
25 SS = 12/23
26 SS = 13/26
27 SS = 14/29
28 SS = 16/32
29 SS = 17/35
30 SS = 19/38
31 SS = 21/41
32 SS = 22/44
33 SS = 24/47
34 SS = 25/50
35 SS = 27/53
36 SS = 28/56
37 SS = 30/59
38 SS = 31/62
39 SS = 32/65
40 SS = 34/67
41 SS = 35/70
42 SS = 36/72
43 SS = 37/74
44 SS = 38/76
45 SS = 39/77
46 SS = 39.5/78
47 SS+ = 40/80

second numbers are the doubled score
