yep did not finish, reading time i scanned the whole exam, when i saw the massive account reconstruction, cash flow and p+l i was like...i need to rush from the start to finish. I was halfway thru a one mark question when time was up. :(

I managed to finish it with 5 minutes or so remaining, I realized i needed to pick up my pace after the first question though, if i wanted to get through multiple account reconstructions and 2 full reports :S

I was pretty much the same as you. I didn't expect two full reports, I was going good for time, until the account re-constructions which took me a while to work out.

i dont understand how people dont finish it is fundamental in yr 12 to finish an exam, if you dont finish you are already behind the rest of the state, especially accounting were some people leave out full reports were they dont finish.
I understand if they left 1 or 2 hard theory questions but when students leave out report(easy marks) it just stuns me.

I know what you mean, but little things can put students in pressure against the clock. Exam nerves, stress - to be honest in this exam i wasted a good 5 minutes stressing about cost of sales in the last section. I couldn't find it and searched the whole question (whole of section 2 three times). I tried to find a mark-up, identify mark-up through dividing total sales against cost of sales amount (found through account reconstruction). In the end i just had to give up and quickly fill-in all the theory q's which i skipped earlier. Unfortunately i didn't have enough time to complete the last theory qs.

So what I'm trying to say, under exam pressure, many student can get thrown off/use a lot of time when they encounter a theory question which they are not prepared for and/or prac. which does not identify enough information.

Not everyone finishes, not everyone succeeds. That's life

:S I had 15 minutes left.

Kinda leads me to believe I probably rushed it, but I thought it was pretty thorough.
