A+ Cut-off

Rumours are going around my school that the A+ cut-off will be around 65!

I pretty sure I got higher than that, but what do you people think? Personally, I think it is a bit high... But then again, it was pretty easy.

My mate (prems in 09) and his mother (assessor) said ~63 should be the cutoff. Any higher and we'd be studying chem, not biol :P.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was around 65 this year. Thought it was way easier than 2006, and the cutoff then was 61.

I say anything from 119 to 126; it was easy yes, but as always assessors are anal, and there were a few tricks in the exam and a few questions from left field (eg. that centromere one). There were also more synthesis questions (3-4 markers) so it'll be easier to slip one word and lose a mark.

I still think more like 126-130, but I agree with the points that you made (except that assessors are 'anal', only because my friend's mum is an assessor and she is really nice)

Hmm...130 to me is too high...the highest A+ cutoff ever (correct me if I'm wrong) was 125, and this exam was relatively simple, but was not unusually easy

I found this one the easiest of all the past VCAA exams of the current study design

Fair enough

I personally found it similar to 2006

If this thread is right then I am in trouble, but I doubt it will be that high.
