What technique do you use for exam revision?

So far I've done 6 chem practice exams but I will often feel a little drained before I'm finished the practice exam paper. Odd how I don't feel that way in a real one. I will partly finish it then take a break and after that I will resume doing it later on.

Haven't touched exams yet. Fully memorizing all the sources of energy and energy transformations as well as my sulfuric acid shizz. After im confident with what i know, then i'll tackle exams, otherwise, I'm simply burning exams.

So whats everyone doing from now until the exam?

I don't think ill do any practice exams, I think im just going to go through the study design and just focus on knowing that i understand each dot point well.

That's a very good point, I always like investigating my understanding through exam practice

Personally because of school I've already done ~10-12 papers all before during and just after the holidays.. Bad idea, I've forgotten basically everything I'd learnt from doing them. It will all come back to me as I restart exams, but it is a little wasteful in terms of time. But then again I haven't really had the time required to do them in the past few weeks..

I would recommend you DON'T do papers piece-by-piece, it eliminates valuable exam technique practice..

This:

I usually do MC then do something, then 1-2 questions, do something, another 1-2 questions... and ill have finished the paper in 2-3 hours. no burn out :D

When they spread it out, doing a small section at a time then take a prolonged break.

You still learn the same content, but it's bad practice for technique.

i dont understand this.
because what you need to know for this really shouldn't take longer then 30min to learn it all, we barely even have to know much from this area..

I started my exams around the start of the holidays but i havent forgotton too much, since i spend about an hour after each exam just writing all the details of the questions i got wrong into a little book.

But i think this is what i'll spend the next few days doing, just going over my past exams, looking at certain questions i had trouble with, re doing them, also spending a good 20-30 minutes on each one and look at what part of the study design each question targets. then seeing if a need to revise that certain concept

Yeah similar to me, I'm a little slow at chem so that why I do it piece by piece though I don't think that it's a very good technique. But it still helps to some extant so that's something.
