I have an A+ for sac (rank 1) and i got 31-3/40 for exam 1, what marks do I need on exam 2 to get at least a 40+ raw? Also, what is the maximum study score that I can get if I ace exam 2?

about 70/80 to get 40.
and if you got full marks on that exam you'd be looking at 46-47.

vexx you really think low scorers in exam 1 can still do it?

I got about 35/40 for exam 1 and I usually get 73-75 for exam 2... can 43 still be done? :S

Ah, that is a little optimistic. I'd say you'd need about 74-75 for 40 raw. If you got full marks you could potentially get 44-45.

How do they calculate your SAC score for methods since you do two exams?

maybe they average the your SAC rank's exams 1 and 2 and then moderate it as your SAC grade

I don't know how they do it, but here's what happened with my SACs last year for Methods.

Rank 1 - 100%

Exam 1 - A+ - 39/40, 97.5%

Exam 2 - A+ - 70.5/80, 88.125%

I am fairly sure I got the highest exam results. To my knowledge no one else even got an A+.

And my moderated SAC score was 97.

Hmm maybe they take the highest exam percentage and then moderate it down (looks like that's what they did with yours)

I'm ranked about equal 4th in my cohort, on 89% percent (one goddamn sac screwed me up)
If I got 40/40 on exam one and about 75/80 on number 2 what would I be looking at?

45-47 depending on exam 2 difficulty, unless your SACs are likely to be moderated badly due to a weak cohort.

m@tty i think you told me last week that i would probably need c+ over both exams to get 25. i think i got between 17-20 marks on exam 1 and i will probably get between 40-50% on exam 2. do you think i will comfortably get 25 with those marks? also, a c+ for 2008 (exam 1) was 14-20.5 marks, do you think it will be the same(ish) as that this year?

thanks in advance

If it's anything, I got 26-32/40 for exam 1 and 50-62/80 for exam 2, with B+ average SACs (moderated to A) and got 34. Yeah I think your goal is still very achievable, if not slightly better
