wtf. I've always used X~N(mean,sd). I thought that was the convention.

I just did a quick google search also, and it says that this is the notation.

That's what I've been told by my teacher, and in practice exams from other companies

X~N(mean, sd^2)

as well. :| I don't know where you've been taught... O_O

I've been taught to use the calculator syntax of Binomcbf and invNorm LOL, my teacher was like, yeah its ok to write that as long as you explain what each function is...yeah right LOL

yeah its X ~ N(mean, standard deviation2)

Standard Deviation2 is the same as the Variance as shown on your formula sheet.
