For those who are in the frame of mind for a laugh amidst all the peril of post-exam debrief - read on!

When our VCAA administrator said "Pens down" after the completion of the 2 hours I thrust my pen down with my arm too forcefully that I literally smacked my calculator off the desk, and it fell and splattered it's AAA batteries over the floor with a climactic crash that turned everyone's heads.

My TI-89 is now fucked and seemingly not turning on when I put new batteries in.
But the main thing is - that it is screwed AFTER the final moment of my exam! I could not have cut it more closely! :P

Anyone else got any funny stories or close encounters to share? :D

Someone in my cohort left the last 7 pages blank if that's anything hilarious to people? :P

I dunno about funny, but the freaking light above my desk kept flickering on and off for the entire exam. SO distracting.

I stabbed myself nearing the end with my pencil which lead a dropped pen on the floor, and almost dropped my calc, but had spiderman skills and caught it...guy next to me was impressed ;D.

I came out of the exam with blood coming out of my wrist...

After an exam like that, it's probable that I tried to...

One of the supervisors just kept on coming up to me to check my MCQ sheet..did it like 4 times for no reason.

its cos they had problems in other schools where they were given the IT applications sheet instead of the methods answer sheet

AS soon writing time started I was like crap I need to sharpen this pencil! So I got my sharpener, it's one of those ones that has a storage compartment so you don't need to go to a bin or whatever. And in my nervous panic I pulled it apart  :( Don't know how I did that, but anyway. As you can imagine, it all went everywhere. So I spent the first 2 minutes of writing time cleaning it all up...And my paper was all smudged cos of all the little bits of graphite that were in the sharpener, which was worsened by my hands smudging even more because they were covered with the filings too, half my hand was grey...

Great way to start an exam I say.

Gah, our exam venue does that too, except it seems like I'm the only one who notices it. They assured me after last years exams that they'd fix it... but they haven't. v_v

I think my eyes may be particularly sensitive though, I have trouble using a CRT (old-style) monitor without seeing the flickering too.

half way during the exam some guy dropped his calculator and was like FUCK! really loud everyone was like O.O, room goes on silent... then in the last half an hour the supervisors goes, please check your M/C sheet we just heared news and i drifted off... then he was like. I'll add 30 seconds to ur time, and then someone whispered wth is that going to do? but since it was silent everyone heared it. Pretty much a fucked up exam altogether.
