We will see when VCAA come out with their answers in like 6 months lol. However I do see te ambiguity of the question though probably unlikely that it's a goal. Oh well. fingers crossed. Cant complain with 18/20.

kingpomba you wrote strategic goal?

I wrote tactical objective.

Correct answer was strategic objective.

The financial report one? what was the answer? I think I said D because of the numeric right alignment
I chose this.

The other two options A and B while valid for anything, didnt mention anything about numbers... this is a finanical report it tends to have numbers.,

This left two options one with left aligned numbers or right aligned.

Left aligned breaks convention, therefore it was the right aligned one.

you're monitoring what they do on the computer with files

For the CCTV thing to work you'd have to point it directly at the screen somehow and heaps of hours of video footage to watch over

Keyboard swipe makes more sense

But how would that detect unauthorised access? There is no way of knowing with a keyboard swipe

Keyboard swipe as i interpret means you have like a special keycard, like you use for hotels or other things like that.

You swipe it in the keyboard i guess and type in your password. Two layers of authorisation.

I know thats a shitty reason but i think its a bit better than the other alternatives

Yeah, the term "keyboard swipe" doesn't really exist, by the way. :P

All methods except for the CCTV are PREVENTATIVE, though one could argue that browsing through firewall logs could pick out whether or not someone's trying to log in illegally. Still, it's easy to see CCTV footage of someone who's not the usual user trying to log into a computer... it doesn't need to be pointing directly at the screen.

The keyboard swipe question was really dodgy, and I hope that question is struck out.  I picked the keyboard swipe thing because I couldn't see the other solutions fitting what the question asked for.  Then again, I hope Mark Kelly will make a big fuss about it in his post-mortem...

Out of curiosity, when do VCAA usually put the exam papers online?

That, and keycards contain passwords in their little black trip thingies. Furthermore, even if you at a CCTV right in front of a screen it wouldn't be able to capture what was happening due to flicker/etc. Cameras can't record screens, except HD ones (CCTV is VHS.)

I think 'detect' wasn't necessarily 'after' the unauthorised access. When I read the question I saw it as detect-as-it-happens.
