Question 2 for multiple choice is D, there would defiantly be an increase in body temp as any form of energy creates heat, you cant have power with no heat and increase use of lactate has high H+ ions associated. Dont know what you are thinking. The questions asked post race. Did i miss something? The answer should be C I am almost 100%
An increase in body temperature is more linked to Endurance based events that are above 5km. 1500m is not long enough to cause dehydration etc...

How can it be C? Please explain. I've put forward my case for why it is A... H+ will decrease because there is suddently little production of it. It doesn't have to go away, it just has to decrease.

It doesnt have to cause dehydration, it just says heat. Any use of energy must result in heat. For those doing physics you know what i am talking about:)

METABOLISM = HEAT. Any exercise creates heat, more so with aerobic exercise. The athlete doesn't have to be dehydrated.

Dehydration is a fatiguing factor for really long events 5+km so it cannot be A.
C is correct as following 1500m muscle glycogen stores are depleted and high levels of lactate have been accumulated... they can't just decrease IMMEDIATELY. They may not keep accumulating... but they only decrease during the recovery period.

How does dehydration have anything to do with body temperature decreasing slightly? Lactate and H+ HAVE accumulated, but immediately after there would be a slight decrease. Immediately after is the recovery period.

That is not an ambiguous question. It is just hard. It is very clearly phrased.
