dont know why ur arguing over the question lol defs a. body cools down slightly straight after exercise and lactate begins to be removed immediately. lactate will not continue to accumulate post exercise as the la system is not in use. It will be aerobic breakdown

How does dehydration have anything to do with body temperature decreasing slightly? Lactate and H+ HAVE accumulated, but immediately after there would be a slight decrease. Immediately after is the recovery period.
No immediately after is the passive recovery phase...

The body is not something that has phases were nothing happens and then something suddenly changes. There are many molecules and many chemical reactions, none that are controlled by "phases". That is all I am going to say. Enough on this question.

Yes I definitely think your reasoning is somewhat valid for 8b, especially for day two. But there is also the idea that the most demanding exercises should be completed first. But yeah I am not sure on this one as I said in the report, if enough people think otherwise then I suppose we have some sort of an answer :)

I agree with Vex, the 400m and 1500m have a more significant catabolic effect on the body and therefore they should be conducted last. Moreover, due to the amount of metabolic by products (hydrogen ions and lactic acid) the rest of the athletes performances would be severely inhibited if these two events were completed prior to any of the other performances.
It would seem silly to do the most demanding first, because then you would be messed up for the rest of the day and hence would not be as accurate, rather doing the easier events first (ones using PC) can have adequate recovery, so all the events are without consequences (such as H+ ions) from others. hmm interested to see what others did then..?

I suppose that's possible. You would use the things you learnt in training to keep control of your body/mind so you could do it during. It would be more relevant to the shooting I think.

@ beder. Yeah I was wrong. I looked up the event order and the 400m and 1500m are last.

you can justify pretty much anything, so if you wrote it right you can use this, along with other arousal reduction including breathing control since they will all help to control body during the skiing (reduce heart rate and such). so probably right - even if better to use for shooting like Lex said.

:) I think keeping a rhythm to breathing may help some focus so it could be valid.

By the way, my answers aren't always comprehensive but I usually indicate where I think many answers will be accepted.

Yeah, definitely. Prior to a run most skiiers use kinaesthetic imagery, to improve neural pathways between the brain and muscle.

^ realise it said DURING, so you had to make reference to during the race for it to be accepted, but imagery is definitely correct if you did so.
