- Not choosing to do specialist
- Doing two year 12 subjects this year only to find that I am not allowed to do 4 next year. (min 5.) :(

Sorry stonecold. Here's some bad news.. Maybe don't read on?... Then again, it's better that you know. You're gonna get like 99+ anyway so why are you stressing! You've got it in the bag basically.

Someone I know emailed the selection officers at melb uni and they confirmed what vexx said, 88 is only for rural and socio economically disadvantaged. Underrep doesn't guarantee anything apparently because so many schools have it. Otherwise they would have wayyyy too many people getting in. It does help, but because of the quantity of underrepresented schools there are no official figures but I'd assume it would only lower the clearly in by one or two points.

That's actually a good thing, you can forego one SS (the worst one, if its not English) which means better chance of a better ATAR :)

Wouldn't Melbourne have realised that there are tonnes of underrep? (Don't they choose it themselves or have another independent body do it?) I think 20% of undergrad courses @ melbourne are given to Access Melbourne applicants (which is not just underrep) so you right that it doesn't guarantee a placement

Because I have to finish 6 VCE subjects @ my school, & I did the mistake of taking UMEP maths thinking it will be an advanced version of spesh which will make me ace it. I was mistaken, it's totally unrelated!

After a shitload of turbulence and delays, we are finally cleared for landing. :D

My biggest regret would be not doing 3/4 LOTE in year 10 when I was capable of it. I also regret dropping visual communications for UMEP maths.

Why do you regret UMEP maths?

I dont have really many regrets at all.
Having an older sibling go through VCE, i was equipped with the tools to play the game that is vce pretty well. Did two 3.4's in yr 11 and got 40+ for both, then just did 4 subjects for yr 12.

I do sort of regret doing physics, since im not that interested in it, but felt sort of obligated to do it because i was good at it and it was pretty easy, but i would have much rather done lit or englang or something.

I regret not hooking up with this hot girl in one of my classes.

Oh, and I regret doing physics; found it to be the most boring subject ever..
