LOL AT THE MISTAKE WITH THE ELECTRONS IN THE CHEM EXAM

hey guys.
lol when they said there is a mistake i full panicked.
Looked at the thing .. Took me like 10 mins to work out wat they did wrong .. the lady just said " the electrons on page 18"
LOL?? i was full expecting like a massive mistake

then i found out they just forgot to put a - sign
HA

Why would Vcaa even make the examiners tell us that?
such a waste of time .... we are chem students .. we know electrons are negative??
when have we ever seen a positive electron?

LOL unless im completely missing the mistake or something.

yeah the examiners had no clue "we don't know anything about chemistry, and hope you understand it". They repeated the mistake like 3 times throughout
Who would mistake a small e to be something other than an electron?

LOL yeah tons of people were just flipping through the exam.

Yeah examiners were so clueless, only told us "Turn to page 18, all electrons should be negative" I was like WTF ok? Until i figured out it was just a negative sign..

Haha yeah thats good for you
but for me .. i spent the first 5 mins asking the examiner wth was the mistake? LOL
Actually worried there was a mistake
She said " e" is negative
and so i changed the E. Value from +0.22 to - 0.22
HAHA
then i realized its the electron she was talking bout
actually laughed at how sad they are ....

on a related note, its funny how VCAA can identify that small error (probably no one would have asked anyway, even if they didn't mention it), and not other huge errors (like having unit 4 shit in a unit 3 exam)

give VCAA an email, tell them how clueless the examiners were, and you assumed that E is negative, most likely will get you marks, or at least make them reconsider

OMG! I thought they meant the E nought values were negative?
I was like "Jebus that's a pretty big fking blunder to make" and I edited it,
because it didn't occur to me that they meant the electrons are negative because..WELL NOT SHIT SHERLOCK.

Luckily for me the examiner repeated what he said, and I realized what was actually meant.

Nearly lost 8 or so marks on that question alone because I didn't pay attention to the silly ways of the VCAA.

Come on, who cares? I doubt many would've realized let alone complained even if that "mistake" wasn't raised. ><

EDIT: Shit someone did the same mistake I did =/ Sorry man, but you should raise it with the VCAA. They were so vague about it for us too!

they shuda jst kept quite about the minor error.. coz the fact that they announced it probz confused many ppl...
