Just going to sum this up for people who want the answer and can't be bothered sifting through 4 pages of waffle.

Kotter was not asked for, however, you could have alluded to it if you had already FULLY explained the driving and restraining forces and whatever was explicitly asked for in the question. You should have linked to how Kotter would reduce resistance or it looks like you are just cramming info.

lol at the people who put kotter, just unnecesarily adding it in. too many people came in closed minded thinking kotter had to be in the exam and when it wasnt decided to stupidly add it in when it was needed and should be penalised but unfortunatley wont be. VCAA will just ignore what was written about kottter and mark everything else so those who put kotter just wasted time.

No, unfortunately I strongly disagree. I agree with careyboys last post... you get marks for discussing driving and restraining forces... vcaa will not give you extra marks for putting in anything to do with kotters...

Nope if you mentioned kotter's it makes you look like you are desperate for driving and restraining forces... is kotter's theory a driving force or a restraining force? I believe it is neither! It did not stipulate in the question 'How could an organisation effectively manage a change process' therefore stop justifying how you can use kotter's theory...
I spoke to Jillian Somers (one of my friends has her a tutor) she is main assessor... and said people who discussed kotters in any way are just wasting their time

guess we are the only two people in the state you didn't regurgitate a rote learnt kotter's theory answer...
I'm glad vcaa put in this question... as no-one would have prepared for it so it will distinguish the good and weak students

What I'm saying to you is that, for those who put Kotter after putting in the other stuff are covering all bases. I personally wrote 10 marks worth of driving/restraining, then 5 or 6 of Kotter related to how it reduces resistance. The question was ambiguous meaning that whilst it obviously wasn't asked for, it could be used to further explain restraining forces.

Just look up like a few posts, its explained the way kotter could be used to further emphasise restraining.

I argue with your point that those who mentioned Kotter were people who were close minded.

u say u argue with the point but u dont say why. im telling you now plain and simple anyone who wrote kotter that section would be completely ignored by the assesors because the question did not ask for it. they would mark everything else though

correct however instead of using the extra time including something unnecessary like kotter u are wasting time, you should have looked at the other questions instead
