well when i was looking i was really undecided because there were soo many projects that looked good but the problem is actually finding a good structured project and a good supervisor

but i still havent got a dead set project yet... but the ones im looking at is a helicobacter pylori one...something about the role of nod1 in host response to h.pylori or making live attenuated vaccines for it...or i might do like a type 1 diabetes project if she still has spaces left..
there were other really good ones but i guess i left it too late because they were full early on

but yeah i dunno ill wait and see... and actually i still got to see if im getting into honours so just have to wait for the results...lol i so hope i passed everything...

Notice how he keeps commenting on Nick Riewodlt and his anterior cruciate ligament ;D

All his exam questions just consist of using photos from General Anatomy and asking you label them. We've been guessing what photos will show up based on last year's exam + the MST lol

UoM has compulsory calculus, physics and statistics ("uni" maths isn't that hard once you've learnt the foundations)

But I'm picking Biomed as I heard it leads into a lot of fields. Like it can take you into anything in science which is good for me because I havent decided what exact field.

so you don't know what field you want to be in but do you know whether you want to get into research, or teaching, or industry, or something else?

also u can do science which doesnt require u to do physics...

um im not sure actually, forensics science has always interested me <3 but research wouldnt be that bad I suppose. Anything chemistry + biology related would be interesting. not sure really, right now I just wanna learn about like how chemistry and biology all work together :P

do you mean like bachelor of science?

another option other than biomed
is doing BSc
and majoring in biotechnology and biochemistry

actually i think they got rid of biotechnology major from the bachelor of science and you have to do it by doing bachelor of biotechology...although they havent updated it in here http://monash.edu/pubs/2011handbooks/undergrad/2011-ug-handbook-change-register.html

these are the majors in 2011 ....mostly the same as 2010
http://www.monash.edu.au/pubs/2011handbooks/undergrad/sci-aos-clayton.html
http://www.monash.edu.au/pubs/2010handbooks/undergrad/sci-aos-clayton.html

well i guess u can do biochem and molecular bio  or biochem and genetics..

BSc was an option but i think biomed looks good right about now.

What are the hours per week of uni for biomed at Monash?

I'm not at monash, but I checked their course overview and working from that, 1st semester is 17 hours of core subjects plus whatever your elective is (probably 3, so 20 hours).

That's a bit less than UoM biomed 1st semester but not by much

Also want to quote this (I had anatomy exam this afternoon) and say that Chris Briggs is a gigantic jerk for his exam questions :(
