WHAT DID EVERYONE THINK!?!?!?!

Thought question 2 in Social Values was really random but it is in the study design. In fact, last night I saw it in the study design and was freaking out praying they wouldn't put it on And to my horror they did.

Plus people around me weren't taking it seriously, they're were talking, making sounds and laughing the whole time. Which was really unfair. But I hope that I might still get a good score despite all the distractions I had to deal with in the exam

Question 2 was about social values and how exhibition of the text, production source, production personnel can affect the content or something. Hadn't really studied that in depth so it should be interesting..

What are you aiming for in media? Be honest, if it's 50 that's fair enough. So am I

i thought the exam was odd.. the questions were fairly different from past years exams.
 and the extended response in media influence literally asked about the whole area of study. not cool vcaa. not cool at all.

Basically. 14marks. Tell me about everything in this whole section of the course.

Wish I did media in 09, that exam was so fair and normal.

yeah the 09 exam was so straightforward and easy.
ah well at least vcaa stayed consistant with giving us dodgy exams this year

haha dont worry  I reckon many people wouldn't eb able to bullshit through this exam! which is good!... I mean in the end of the exam there was only three left O.o... I did pretty good.. aiming for a 50 .. best case maybe a 55!.... but since everyone left and probably couldnt be stuffed doing it does that mean our score will be pushed down since the class did bad?

Because ill tell you now, my whole class stopped writing 20 minutes into it... except for me

Umm a 50 would be nice haha. I don't really know what to expect for media. If I get below 40 i'll be very disappointed, put it that way. 45ish would be great. As I said, I dunno lol.

That question (Q2) was a bit easier for me as 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner' was literally written with the sole objective of portraying the social values of America at the time. So yeah, bit lucky there I guess.

The last question did cover A LOT of Media Infuence huh? I filled up the entire book (as in, all of the "extra space" too), so I hope that's a good thing and they don't think I just rambled. My writing is rather large though so I wouldn't read into that too much.

Oh and yeah, we had about 5-6 people leave after 30 minutes haha. But we have 4-5 people who will do pretty well, so that might balance out?

Uhh kind of....from the sounds of that your cohort won't be handled too kindly on SAC moderation though. Not that I really know how that stuff works.

haha yup. We're not allowed to leave our exams at my school. But one person slept in the corner, and about another 8 weren't writing anything basically and then another like 10 were mucking around the whole time.

Media is filled with so many people who take it as a bludge. Hence it's not as difficult to get in the 40s for as some other subjects. But that leads to crappy scaling

I would be disappointed with anything below 47 tbh. I've put in so much work that anything below would really be a disappointment. But I have no idea what my paper will get, I don't feel "super confident". My answers were either fine or completely wrong :S

With me I took too long on extended response.. even though its good It made me have like 12 minutes left with a 7 mark and 6 marks.. so I detailed dot point my work, with evidence and points and I think that I would get atleast 3 or 4 for it! definately!.. and the other marks was good! I reckon I got about 50 .. 55 best case! please be the case!

Hopefully when we post again in december we'll all be in the 40s... And maybe even da holy grail - fifer...
