So, who is doing science or biomed at UoM next year?

I can't wait!!!  So excited.  Still in school mode, so could start to tomorrow haha.

Lets see how big of a VN fest this is going to be!

I've applied, but they are not my first preference. Good to see how you developed a positive attitude  ;)
Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I'm hoping to do UoM Biomed :D

Who knows if I'll get in. I really hope I do though. Should be good if it's a VN fest. We'll be able to help each other heaps cos we'll be doing the same course!

There's a host group program where we get assigned a group of first years and take you round uni in O week so you can get used to the campus/ask questions about little stuff/enjoy uni life.

Apparently we're also meant to stay in touch through semester but I'm not sure how that's going to work...

Yeah, that's what happens with students from all courses :) O-week sounds fun!

Yeah it was quite fun but HARD! The first time I did it I had 25-30 in my group :( It was like leading a whole lot of ducks around campus, losing some and getting some lost students on the way haha. The second time I had only 3 students so I teamed up with another host and we spent most of our time at Eastern Precinct to sort out their enrollments. But the book vouchers were great, could pay for all my books with them :P

And no, you don't have to keep in touch because no one will ;)

Not true, my best friend from my course and I are still best friends since I recognised her name from Engage Education tutoring page and was like 'LOL DID YOU GET A FIFTY IN ENGLISH HI I TUTOR TOO: BIOLOGY'.
Cool story!

Anyway, I am.  Taking science.
