do you really need a bottle at umelb? there are drinking fountains all over the place. and what is the university experience without catching at least *some* diseases?

I've never seen more than a couple of these. I carry an old mount franklin bottle and i grab a can of something if i'm thirsty (ASIAN LOLLY SHOP!!)

That lolly shop sells some of the cheapest drinks around.

Isn't it called Hello Panda? Sorry, I used to buy them so much.

Melbourne Uni does not have great food - but there's Lygon Street close by.

Rolling papers, condoms, an empty gatorade bottle and shot glasses.

No need for condoms, they provide that for you.

Get a decent backpack over a nice shoulder bag. Doesn't look as fashionable but it's a damn sight more useful. Mine cost $100+ but it's been across Europe with me and is still as sturdy as ever. I only take my leather bag out socially.

Money for coffee/energy drinks

I added up how much I spent on coffee and realised I have a problem :S

Join the club! Sometimes I wonder why I order espresso shots in the middle of the day, but by then I've already handed the money over (also it's manly to drink them)

You can get free refills of water from the taps at The Spot (Melbourne). The taste is quite refreshing too.
