do you really need a bottle at umelb? there are drinking fountains all over the place. and what is the university experience without catching at least *some* diseases?

I've never seen more than a couple of these. I carry an old mount franklin bottle and i grab a can of something if i'm thirsty (ASIAN LOLLY SHOP!!)

That lolly shop sells some of the cheapest drinks around.

Cheaper than the $1 coke can vending machine? :P

:o  Where's that?

You can get free refills of water from the taps at The Spot (Melbourne). The taste is quite refreshing too.

But technically The Spot isn't even on campus.  It's all the way in woop woop for jaffies.

Yeah, I've never been to the spot. Generally in med or asia centre (which are pretty damn far apart as well)

Join the club! Sometimes I wonder why I order espresso shots in the middle of the day, but by then I've already handed the money over (also it's manly to drink them)

LOL @ manly
I have cappucinos, is that girly? :P

Somewhat. Latte is non gender specific, black coffee is for men and chai/soy is for women.

Cappucino...all that froth...girly

(phD thesis: coffee preference and its relationship to gender identification in generation Y)

espresso doesn't get left in your moustache, thus manly.

Top floor of archi, in the Apple clubrooms. I don't think it's being refilled at the moment, since Apple has been dissolved, but since envi are absorbing them, they might keep it running next year.

As for fountains...they're in almost every building. Ground floor of chem, ground floor of maths, 3rd floor of union house, 1st floor of david caro, ground floor of the baillieu, outside the south entrance to the ERC, etc (off the top of my head).

This. I just crammed 250 pages of Japanese grammatical structures, 1000+ vocab and 100+ kanji in two days. That's what uni is actually like. :P
