iI think you should do what you want to become. If you don't like accounting very much and you get accepted into the cadetship you probably won't enjoy it. Therefore if your dying to to do criminology/law then i would strongly suggest you strive for that and earn a career in law something that you have stated you enjoy. There is no point in securing a career next year in a field you don't want to be in.

All the best

All the best to everyone who will have an interview!! :)

Now i'm sorta regretting not applying :(
but hey, at least i know i didnt end up spending hours to make a cover letter, resume, application etc...and getting rejected LoLs

I'm actually really interested in accounting, and i'm like 99% sure that its the career that i want.
Oh wells, there'll be other opportunities to gain experience right?
Like the CA achievers program in the first year of uni...
Hmm...does anyone know much about that??

I was pretty dead set on applying for one, until I found out they lock you into a contract after uni for a couple years. Not sure I wanted to stay strictly in the auditing/taxation field so I changed my mind.

Cadetships are good for experience, but the first few years I heard was crap and it's not really worth it. Internships > Cadetships.

Yeh exactly. If you are unsure whether you want to be in the industry/career/company after a few years, it's probably not for you. Sorta scary to sign away on a contract that locks you in for years!
