Yeah I asked my teacher today, and he said he'd double check but he didn't think we'd get marked down which is promising. :D

Also according to him most people in our class got H's to VH's... our school doesn't get an actual mark which is stupid... but ehhh fingers crossed.

A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

I think my oral will be on why the presence of the United Nations is completely unnecessary. Good idea? (This issue is still technically 'recent' because of UN intervention in Libya).

I'm doing mine on Australia's Involvement in the Afghanistan War...saying that they shouldn't withdraw troops yet because they have a responsibility to finish of the job and leave the country in a state that the Afghan government can manage. Everyone else I know doing the topic is taking the opposite stance; that Australia should withdraw troops :S but I stand by my opinion.
I won the GAT: 49/50/50.

Not necessarily a bad thing, especially if yours is well prepared! I did that the flood tax is a bad thing, and a few others did the other side, only to make mine look better :P

Secondly, teachers get bored listening to the same thing. Giving your side gives them a better opinion IMO.
Good luck :)

Depends on school, we have the A+, A, B+, etc. system.

So:
A+ - 19-20
A   - 17-18
B+ - 15-16
...etc.

I would assume that a VH corresponds to a high A, maybe 18+/20?
