I think the range for H would be low A to low B+

Did many people in your classes do feminist rights? I'm thinking of doing my oral on the lower number of women in board rooms etc, in relation to the centenerry of International Women's Day, but I'm wondering if that topic has been overdone? Did anyone else do it and have any notes or articles that could be helpful?

If I don't do that, I was thinking the rights of asylum seekers (especially children who were said to be not kept in detention centers) or the Carbon tax. Does anyone have any advice or helpful notes/articles?

Does anyone know how many marks the cut off is for a VH and H?  /20...

Depends on school, we have the A+, A, B+, etc. system.

So:
A+ - 19-20
A   - 17-18
B+ - 15-16
...etc.

I would assume that a VH corresponds to a high A, maybe 18+/20?

80% and up (16/20) is considered an A - So I think it's increments of 3 starting from 50% (10/20) being a C, and 19/20 being an A.

Arguing for/against Gillard's current asylum seeker/immigration policies. Should be fun, NOT.

How should one utilise a powerpoint effectively so that it doesn't hinder your marks?

I had one with a picture for each slide (QLD Floods), with dot points/supporting evidence. The key however was that I basically memorised a speech, so then I only had to glance at the powerpoint behind me to use as a leapfrog onto my argument for that slide. I reckon it helped, as it took the pressure off people looking at you so to speak...

Keeping it simple is what I would recommend. Minimize your interaction with the computer as much as possible and you should be on your way to full marks. My presentation only consisted of two images and I got full marks for the use of imagery as support section, so yeah keep it simple.

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”
