^^^Maybe didn't get the required SS for med (or something along those lines) the first time around (although it can't be in your top 4 from what I understand)

Oh well, second timers are always welcome in chem :)

You don't need to keep saying who's next, it won't attract new people. Just let the thread sit here and allow people to come to it, its not like you are trying to recruit for a 2011 Chemistry Basketball team.

On a side note - Chances are high they would lose.

Doing Chem 3/4 for the second time next year ^^
:o why??

Didn't understand the subject AT ALL. Lol. But I found a brilliant tutor who taught me everything I need to know about it in 3 weeks; it was 3 weeks before the Unit 3 exam so...

Yeah SS won't look wonderful.

As for it being in top 4, apparently it can; they removed such stipulations as that and the one which said 10% would be taken off your newly awarded mark a couple of years ago. :) Which is good for me, I guess :p

And thanks pi, that made me feel much better :p

Was a med hopeful in 2011 currently studying Science/Laws at Deakin University.

Did English, Chinese SL, Methods CAS, Biology and Chemistry + Retail Cert III in Year 12.

Feel free to ask any questions related to the above; and I AM SOOO SORRY to all the people who've inboxed me since last year for my non-responsiveness, I forgot completely about this forum for quite awhile.

For 2012 and 2013 Year 12ers, I wish yous all the best!!! :D

unfortunately, yes. chem was my worst subject this year, but i'll be able to focus more time and attention to it next year since i'll only have another 3 subjects on a count of my two 3/4s this year.

AFAIK don't VCAA automatically take the higher score as your final SS for Chem, as any SS is valid for a 5 year period unless it is overruled by a higher score in that subject...
2010: Business Management [47]
2011: English [44]   |   Chemistry [45]  |   Methods [44]   |   Specialist [42]   |   MUEP Chemistry [5.0]   |   ATAR: 99.60
UMAT: 69 | 56 | 82 | = [69 / 98th Percentile]
2012: MBBS I @ Monash

Well I thought that it applied to any subject in that:

eg.
In '09, I got a 34 in Chem
In '10, I got 39 in Chem

In my final ATAR, the 39 in Chem is the only score that is recorded in my Aggregate...

i think yuo keep the score in the year which you repeated it i.e. 2009 Chem 37, 2010 chem 35
thus you willl get the 35 study score.

i think we need some pros to assist us in this :P

Just have to bring it up ^^

Very funny pi.

Easy.

I get 45 for methods, then get 46 for chem next year. Hence it's mathematically possible (by example) to get higher in chem than methods :D

So.. How were you planning on getting that 51? :)
